The Goal: Create a successful, entertaining DVD and CD and leverage a non-existing marketing and distribution budget to create a buzz for one of Rock’s all-time greatest duos: Pat Benatar and Neil Giraldo.
Our Approach: We worked with a local venue on a dark night and tied in with a local radio station to fill the venue with thousands as VIP “guests” to watch the filming of the concert. Interviews on radio, on the web, and with outlets such as MTV, VH-1, Westwood One Radio, Infinity and many more created a buzz for the her first DVD and also for their upcoming tour!
In addition, we leveraged PR and the world premiere of the show as a “music first” as part of the “We Got the Beat” series on Women’s Entertainment.
The Results: A sell-out! The DVD sold out on the web, at retail, and on tour! We had similar success with the “Christmas In America” single and video to benefit the 9/11 Children’s Fulfillment Fund from 9/11.
