The Goal: Increase awareness of Mental Health Resources to those individuals experiencing problems, or family members who don’t know where to turn in crisis. As part of the overarching goal: reduce stigma!
Our Approach: We partnered up with leading pharmaceutical company Janssen, as well as with NAMI, MHA, and the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health to roll out a series of events including a free concert, film premieres, local events, and a series of press interviews and receptions for leading Mental Health opinion leaders.
The Results: A GREAT start! The Free concert and film series reached thousands – in both English and Spanish language, calls from people in crisis rose to the service providers over that period of time, and media contacts were thankful and interested in follow up because of the “emotional story” PR approach. FYMPS will grow by leaps and bounds in 2006!
